exactly what you can begin doing RIGHT NOW to put your financial knowledge to good use. After all, the Knowl says there鈥檚 no time like the present.

Getting Started

Get started by setting up your private account at . Select your school鈥檚 state and city, then choose your school. Enter valid email address and select 鈥淚 am a new user.鈥� Input your full name, agree to the use policy, and click 鈥淓nroll in course.鈥� Canvas will send a confirmation link to your email. You must click the link in this email to complete registration. Choose your password and timezone and click 鈥渞egister.鈥�

Returning Users

Using your email address and password, you can return to your Financial Avenue account any time to review or finish courses, access tools and tips, and track your progress.

The Financial Avenue App is Available!

If you haven't already, download the Canvas Student app for or s and click "Find my school.'

Then, search for "Inceptia" (the nonprofit org that created Financial Avenue). Be sure to click "Next" after you have typed in Inceptia.

March 13	Financial Goal Setting Thinking about financial goal setting may leave you feeling a bit lost and overwhelmed. Whether it鈥檚 establishing an emergency savings fund, buying your first home, or even planning for retirement, financial goal setting is an important step toward future financial success. In this webinar, we will talk about where to start, share examples of short-term vs. long-terms goals, and review helpful tools.
March 20	Emotional Spending Spending money during a period of heightened emotions, like stress or sadness can lead us to make money decisions that may not be in our best interest. Often, we end up purchasing unneeded items we regret and incurring unnecessary debt. In this session, we will look at emotional spending, what triggers it along with ways to overcome it.
April 3	ECMC Resources This webinar will provide an overview of ECMC鈥檚 free student success and outreach resources including, college planning guides, college planning nights, FAB Life and our national training curricula for middle school, high school, and college educators. Join us to learn more about these no cost resources.
April 17	Understanding Credit Scores Consumer credit scores range between 300鈥�850 and represent a consumer's credit risk or the likelihood of paying bills on time. The higher the score, the better a borrower looks to potential creditors and lenders. The score is based on criteria including number of open accounts, total levels of debt, repayment history, and other factors. Potential creditors use credit scores to evaluate the probability that consumers will pay bills on time. Join us to do some sleuthing on what makes up your credit score and how best to build and manage credit..
May 1	Building and Maintaining Your Basic Needs Program Hunger and food insecurities touch millions of Americans. College campuses are especially hard hit. As a college education becomes less affordable, more students are forced to look for alternative basic needs resources. Our guest presenters will share firsthand experiences on how to successfully set up and maintain a campus pantry, develop resources, add wrap-around services and track and report on your efforts.
May 22	The Cash Back Savings Game As prices for everyday items continue to rise while wages remain stagnant, it鈥檚 harder every day to meet even basic needs. In this session, we will look at some cash-back apps and cost saving strategies that can help us all save money.
May 29	Establishing Good Money Habits While there is little we can do about the challenges facing the economy, there are slight changes you can make in your daily life to help bolster your financial future. In this webinar, we will look at daily practices to establish good money habits.
June 26	Planning Ahead for Aging Adults It鈥檚 never too early to begin making difficult decisions that we will all be faced with at some point in our lives. We will dive into a brief overview of benefits, then an overview of documents to have in place before retirement.
